Welcome to our Zirbelstube, the cozy pine-paneled restaurant where tradition meets modern comfort. Enjoy regional and seasonal specialties – from schnitzel and Harz brook trout to tender Simmental beef and the popular Paulsberg Burger. External guests are also warmly welcome – experience authentic cuisine and the warm atmosphere of the Harz Mountains.
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 6–9 pm

For over 100 years, the name Winkel has stood for hospitality, quality and family tradition.
It all began with Franz Winkel the First, who laid the foundation with a colonial goods store.
for our current hotel with restaurant. The small shop was transformed into a cozy tavern, later a guesthouse – always characterized by warmth and dedication.
In the 1950s, Franz Winkel (2nd generation) and his wife Anneliese took over the business.
Ruder. With great passion, they expanded the business into an inn. It was the birth of a true family business.
In the 1970s, Lothar Winkel (3rd generation) and his wife Hannelore moved the story forward – with fresh ideas and a clear vision for the future. They developed the inn further and transformed it into a stylish hotel with an upscale restaurant through extensive modernizations in the 1980s.
Since the late 1990s, their sons (4th generation) have joined the business and still run it today.
With loving care, we are constantly renewing our rustic charm with modern comforts.

Generation) und seine Frau Hannelore die Geschichte fort – mit frischen Ideen und einem klaren Blick in die Zukunft.
